From the ashes of the two Houston bands, Tantalum and Dream Shake, came Evokation. Heavily influenced by early 80's thrash metal, guitarist Mikey Tehrani, found an ensemble of ex-bandmates to flesh out the band. Essentially taking the rhythm section (Frank Faerman and Matt Juarez) of previous project Dream Shake, he added guitarist Matt Burnette (Gyste/PLF) and Alice Lima Lovchick (Tantalum) on vocals. Twelve tracks of speed and fury with no song passing the three minute mark and a cover of Slayer's "Piece By Piece" to boot.
